I can share every thought and feeling with him and he compliments them with great responses or ideas of his own.
He is also very sensitive when it comes to these "womanly" issues. It was great to see everyone and even a friend from Austin who is in Berlin right now came.
I also of course love my family and it was great to spend quality time with them. I always get so much strength from the visits back home and talking to my mom at night on the large balcony for hours is one of my favorite things to do.
We also had the perfect weather over there. It was warm and nice. Peter took care of Timmy and Mom and him spoiled him.
The week flew by, we were out and about most of the time or stayed in and had great family evenings and nights.
Then it was time for us to say good-bye to Berlin again. We had a big crying session at the airport and I really didnt want to leave so early.
Next time we will stay longer than one week.

Now, being back in Austin for almost a week now, I reflect back on the great times we just had last week are already so far away and I wish I could bring my family and friends over there.

This week I started my first career- level job and I will try everything to give my best at all times to make this a long term career.
Until my next post, so long and write me with any thoughts and comments you may have.

Contemporary Art

<img style="float:left; I know I would not be able to do as many things as I am doing here.
Here it goes: I work almost full time at a really fun and innovative company called Be Greeted. We stay in business by offering live chat services for clients in all industries. Most of our clients are in technology, marketing and/or online content industry. I wear a few different hats there, of course live chat rep but mainly I am working on our marketing campaign that includes new media tactics. I am twittering every day for Be Greeted and we are just now starting to really gear up all of our tactics. It is much fun, I get to research interesting topics about marketing and online behavior and twitter about it.
Besides that, I am working a few hours a week for Kimberley Strenk, she has her own PR Agency here in Austin, called Kimberley Strenk PR. She has fun clients in the fashion and lifestlye industry. Exactly what I am intersted in pursuing. Besides that I am also a rep for Steve Herrmanns, who is my friend from high school back in Berlin and now I am partnering with him. He is an international art consultant and I am just starting to develop a market here in the US for him. Anyone who is interested in fine contemporary art from artists from Europe and the US visit his great website: www.steveherrmanns.com and if you have any questions please contact me directly.
My husband is still working hard at his job, runs our ebay store and goes to school at night. His online program for Marketing is great, flexible in learning and task assignments.
One day, Tim and me will open T&C Exposure, our own Marketing & PR firm. Techincally we would have already three clients, all friends of mine. Art, Fashion and Insurance.

Other than that, I am planning to go back to school to get my Masters in Strategic Communication, I just feel like I have not learned enough yet, I definitely want to go for it all the way.

Our honeymoon to Europe in August/September 2008

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UPwje-7JAcE/SRRehaaDpKI/AAAAAAAAAC4/2paTkXPZM0s/s200/Our+Honeymoon+Italy-Germany+233.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265937792420258978" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UPwje-7JAcE/SRReg46sbTI/AAAAAAAAACw/ABfcJspg1R8/s200/Our+Honeymoon+Italy-Germany+091.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265937783430343986" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UPwje-7JAcE/SRRegov6bkI/AAAAAAAAACo/4XG5-M5xF9g/s200/Our+Honeymoon+Italy-Germany+027.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265937779090157122" />
For our honeymoon we were able to go on one of the cruises my work charters. We went on the Star Clipper sailing boat for 10 days. The trip started in Rome, Italy and visited a port almost every day. The first port of call was Mali Losinj in Croatia, followed by Hvar and Dubrovnik both in Croatia also. Then we went to Greece and visited ports of Santorini, Corfu, Mykonos and finally stopped in Athens, Greece from where we flew to Frankfurt, Germany and stayed there for two nights.

Anobard the ship was the sun deck with two pools, the piano and tropical bar and a library. There was a schedule of activites to do every day.
After 12 days on the go we were happy to be at home in Austin, Texas again.

Creating buzz

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; I love and miss my hometown where my family and many great friends live. I moved to Austin when I just turned 21 years old all by myself with only knowing one person here. I started to build a life for me in Austin, started school, work and met many great people and explored opportunities that I know would have been either impossible or hard to attain in Berlin.
Now that I have graduated from University, received my BA in public relations I am working as a marketing associate in a clothing optional cruise travel agency I feel I came a long way. I am still young.
The other big news is that I met the man of any girls dreams. He is sweet, loving, funny, smart, a great thinker,a great business manager and very innovative. This year in August I can proudly call him my official husband. We chose the fairy tale castle as the romantic wedding location, since our love feels just like it.
Our honeymoon was well spent on a cruise through the eastern Mediterranean sea for 10 days.
Since now it is almost Halloween time, we are well adjusted back to the daily grind, well rather daily work schedule and other freelance projects we are working on.

Today is Monday morning, I do not want to start the day nor the week, the weekend went by way to fast and I got a headache. I will work on my project for a while before getting ready, waking up Timmy, driving to Leander and back and going to work.
I welcome your posts and comments. Paste a link to your blog on mine, I am interested to read more.
Thank you.

Social Media Updates

As I move along with my independent project, which by the way, I recommend to any college student who still needs class credit but has already taken all required classes. It is such a great way to learn in depth about a subject of personal interest on your more or less own terms with guidance from your professor on a one vy one basis.
I interviewed two PR professionals recently and both are very knowledgable of their area, I have learned so much more about social media and the impact on PR. First of all, I realized that the PR industry can not survive without social media. Every firm and agency has to implement some type of social media tool and engage the audience for their client. As of right now, I am wondering if there will be a governing force that will put a code of conduct on blogs and other social media.

Social Media as a job qualification

Does the knowledge of how to use social media effectively make you a more qualified job candidate in the PR field? I was reading articles about this question and I found that it is generally a good skill to have. However, it does not susbtitute having traditional media skills. In conclusion, social media skills have not replaced traditional media skills (yet?) I am wondering how the future will look like? Do you think it will replace it eventually or will traditional media always be the more important media?

Social Media continued

As I am moving along with my independent research project, I find that it is troublesome for some firms to successfully implement New Media into their regular PR tool for clients.
I find it interesting that it is becoming more and more popular to use someone's facebook or myspace profile information for a story without a consent or anything. I am wondering if the government will step in to regulate the internet soon. Just like it started out with radio, newspapers, magazines and film that once it became so out of proportion the government started regulating it.
I think that if a reporter was to use someone's facebook information for their story that it should be required to ask for permission first. Eventhough it is displayed as public information, to a certain degree it is but basically it is personal information. It just would not be good journalism.

Social Media and the Impact on PR

I am working in the PR industry only since last year in August, took many classes, I am still a student and now I got my first agency internship in January at Weber Shandwick in Austin.
